10 Years in Our Colours: Help Us Kick Our Footy Colours Day Fundraising Past $200K

Some traditions become part of who you are and for the Plan B Group, Footy Colours Day is one of them!

This September marks our 10th year supporting Fight Cancer Foundation through Footy Colours Day — a milestone we’re incredibly proud to reach.

And as we looked back over the past nine years, we realised we’re also incredibly close to another milestone.

Together, the Plan B community has raised $188,852.

That means we’re just $11,148 away from kicking our decade-long fundraising total past $200,000.

So, for Year 10, we’ve got something pretty special to play for.

10 Years of Showing Up

Our first Plan B Footy Colours Day in 2017 raised $6,146.

What started as a fun way to bring our people together has since grown into one of our most-loved annual traditions — with our team, families, clients, partners and wider Plan B community getting behind the cause year after year.

And that support has grown considerably.

In 2025 alone, together we raised a record $31,648 — more than five times the amount raised in our first year.

Across nine years, it all adds up to an incredible $188,852 for Fight Cancer Foundation.

But behind those numbers is the reason we keep showing up.

Behind the Colours Is a Cause That Matters

Footy Colours Day raises funds for Fight Cancer Foundation and its work supporting kids with cancer and their families.

For children undergoing cancer treatment, life can suddenly mean long periods away from home, school, friends and everything familiar.

Fight Cancer Foundation provides practical support for families navigating treatment, including accommodation services that help families stay together and close to the care their child needs.

It’s a cause we’re proud to stand behind.

And while our Footy Colours Days involve plenty of team colours, friendly rivalry, questionable footy allegiances and fiercely contested competitions, the purpose behind the day has always been much bigger than us.

From $6,146 to $188,852

Every year has added another chapter to the story.

Every donation has contributed. Every person who has pulled on their colours, bought a raffle ticket, entered a competition, made a donation or encouraged someone else to get involved has helped get us here.

On Thursday 24 September 2026, the colours come out again for our 10th Plan B Footy Colours Day.

And this year, we’re inviting our clients, industry partners, friends and wider community to help us mark the occasion.

We’re not setting a finish line. We’re simply asking everyone who has been part of the Plan B story — or who believes in the work Fight Cancer Foundation does — to help us see how far we can take it.

We’re $11,148 away from $200,000.
