As-Built Electrical Draftsperson – Experienced

Working in our Mount Waverley office as an `As-Built Electrical Draftsperson’, you will be responsible for the interpretation of survey field data and the accurate and efficient production of CAD plans to Electrical Network Standards.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have competent drafting ability (a certificate or qualification in CAD would be highly regarded);
  • Have High levels of attention to detail and interpretation of spatial information;
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment;
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects and work within nominated timeframes;
  • Acquire good levels of verbal and written communication;
  • Basic use of Office Productivity Software (e.g., Outlook, Word and Excel);
  • A can-do attitude;
  • Have a working knowledge of the Victorian Electrical Distribution Networks’ various drafting standards would be highly regarded but not required;
  • Have a background in Electrical, Survey or Civil drafting would also be highly regarded but also not required.

Senior Solar Project Engineer

For the right candidate, this opportunity will allow you to have a significant and positive impact on the establishment of a growing team and influence the long-term direction and growth of the business.

You will be responsible for the Engineering scope of works & Stakeholder management on Commercial PV, Secondary Protection, BESS, and EV Charger projects including but not limited to:

  • DNSP approvals
  • System design drawings
  • Secondary protection designs
  • Feasibility studies and reports
  • Coordinating and delivering post-installation documentation including As-builts, system manuals, testing and commissioning documentation along with other supporting materials necessary for smooth customer handover and grid connections.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Have a Minimum of 3 years experience in the Solar industry (5 years+ preferred)
  • Competent with AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or PowerCad
  • Proficient in design and calculation software
  • Competent with PV Systems, Helioscope etc.
  • Competent with secondary protection design and hardware
  • CEC Accredited Designer
  • Strong and In-depth understanding of AS electrical and Solar PV installation standards (AS3000, 3008, 4777.1, 5033, 5139)
  • Knowledge of DNSP processes in Australia
  • In-depth Technical knowledge and understanding of a wide array of PV systems and their market applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
