A Journey Built on Growth

Tayla’s journey reflects exactly what we believe in at Plan B — that potential isn’t defined by where you start, but by your willingness to learn, evolve and step forward when opportunity presents itself.

Before joining Plan B five and a half years ago, Tayla had already developed strong leadership foundations. During her seven years at McDonald’s, she progressed from crew member to Department Manager, gaining valuable experience in fast-paced environments where teamwork, accountability and problem-solving are essential.

Those early years helped shape the core skills she continues to bring into her work today — organisation, responsibility and a genuine commitment to supporting the people around her.

From Project Administration to Project Leadership

When Tayla joined Plan B in a Project Administration role, she quickly developed a deep understanding of what drives successful project delivery behind the scenes.

She saw that great administration isn’t simply about process.

It’s about creating structure and clarity — the operational backbone that keeps projects moving forward smoothly, enables teams to perform at their best, and ensures clients feel confident and informed throughout their journey.

While Project Management wasn’t originally part of Tayla’s plan, her curiosity and exposure to the broader project lifecycle sparked something new.

Encouraged by those around her, she recognised an opportunity for growth — and stepped forward to embrace it.

A Leadership Style Grounded in People

Since transitioning into Project Management, Tayla has demonstrated a natural ability to balance project outcomes with strong relationships.

She understands that successful delivery isn’t just about milestones and timelines.

It’s about ensuring clients and teams feel supported, informed and confident every step of the way.

Tayla leads in a way that reflects who she is — approachable, supportive and quietly dependable. She creates space for collaboration, encourages open communication and helps ensure those around her feel confident and supported.

“For me, it’s about making sure people feel supported and confident in their projects. If I can help create an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions and working together, that’s a win.”

Stepping into the Project Management – Team Lead role, Tayla’s focus is clear.

She is committed to supporting her team not only in delivering successful projects, but in helping each individual grow in confidence and capability.

Tayla believes a strong team is built on honesty, openness and trust — environments where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing challenges and knowing they will be supported.

Having worked her way through the roles herself, Tayla brings a perspective grounded in experience. She understands the learning curves, the challenges and the importance of having leaders around you who see your potential.

“I’ve only been able to get to where I am because of the support and guidance I’ve received throughout my career. Sometimes you don’t realise your full potential until someone else points it out, and I’d love to be that person for others.”
