We’re proud to announce the appointment of Paktin Fazal as General Manager of Plan B Comms, marking the next chapter in a career that has spanned more than 15 years of growth, innovation, and impact across Plan B Group.

Paktin’s journey began back in 2009, when a timely referral and a proactive mindset landed him a Graduate Engineer role within the Design team at Plan B Services.

“I called a friend in the industry to see if he knew of any opportunities. He passed my resume on to Sam Nettelbeck, and by the end of the week, I had an offer. I was also running my own business at the time — looking back, I’m still not sure how I managed both, but I made it work.”

Since then, Paktin has worn many hats — most recently as Design Manager — helping shape our delivery capability, champion strong processes, and support high-performing teams.

A Leadership Style Built on People and Progress

From the early days of fast-paced design turnarounds to today’s complex, multi-layered project landscape, Paktin’s approach has evolved alongside the industry.

“I’ve always had a ‘get it done’ mindset. But over time, I’ve learned the value of pausing, listening, and tailoring how I work to bring out the best in others. That shift has been key in helping teams succeed together.”

It was early on that he realised Plan B was a place where contributions were valued — and careers could grow.

“Within a couple of years, I knew I wanted to build my future here. The people, the culture, and the way my ideas were genuinely heard — that really stuck with me.”

Stepping into the Future of Plan B Comms

As General Manager, Paktin’s focus is on leading Plan B Comms into its next stage — growing the team, refining delivery, and unlocking new opportunities on a national scale.

“This role feels like a natural next step. It’s about the bigger picture — setting direction, supporting capability, and creating the right conditions for growth.”

With a strong team behind him, Paktin is excited about what’s ahead.

“We’ve got momentum, fresh ideas, and the expertise to deliver at an even higher level. I’m looking forward to exploring how we can expand what Comms delivers — and how we work together to get there.”
