ADMINISTRATOR ⁠— PLAN B GROUP

The Plan B Group is on the lookout for a multi-tasking Administrator to join our highly motivated team, assisting our Plan B Services Design team.

This is a permanent role based in Notting Hill, Victoria.  We have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic Administrator to join part of our highly motivated Design. Plan B Services is an industry accredited company of electrical and civil infrastructure to the Land Development Industry in Victoria.

Due to rapid growth, this is an excellent opening for someone who wants to learn from and work with the best in the industry. Reporting to the Design Administration Manager, your duties will include:

  • Management of General Administration duties;
  • Preparation of Proposals and Tender Submissions;
  • Management of Network Authority Applications;
  • Management of Electrical Network Authority Documentation;
  • Admin support to the Design Administration Manager;
  • Admin support to the Design Group;
  • Updating the company’s database system with project milestones;
  • Liaising and building relationships with clients, utilities, contractors etc.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative; have strong all-round MS Office skills, have the ability to take ownership of your role and have a high attention to detail.

Experience in the Electrical Construction industry would be highly regarded but is not essential as appropriate training will be provided.

TRAINEE COMMUNICATION DESIGNER ⁠— PLAN B COMMS

Plan B Comms is on the lookout for a multi-tasking, self-starter Trainee Communication Designer.  You will be given all the training required to succeed in this role and will develop a wide range of skills in communication pit and pipe design, project management of works from application to design approval.

This is a permanent role based in Notting Hill, Victoria.  We have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic Trainee Communication Designer to become part of our highly motivated Comms Team. Plan B Comms is Victoria’s fastest-growing communications consultancy specialising in Comms pit and pipe solutions, servicing the Victorian development industry.

Plan B Comms offers a complete pit and pipe solution including Comms applications, masterplan design, pit and pipe design, pit and pipe construction, project management and communication infrastructure detailing.  Plan B Comms is part of the Plan B Group which includes Plan B Services; Victoria’s largest electrical engineering consultancy for the land development industry. Both companies work seamlessly together to provide electrical and Comms design solutions to our clients.

Due to rapid growth, this is an excellent opening for someone who is mature, self-driven and energetic who wants to learn from and work with the best in the industry.  We are looking for a Trainee Communication pit and pipe designer to undertake Comms pit and pipe design, drafting and complete management of projects from application to design approval. This position will also offer the successful candidate an opportunity to progress into a senior design role.

 

The duties you will be undertaking in this role include but are not limited to:

– Pit and pipe design
– Liaising with stakeholders
– Design drafting
– As-built drafting
– Onsite inspections/meetings
– Coordination with the electrical engineering department

 

You must possess the following skills:

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Excellent time management
– Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
– Positive and enthusiastic attitude
– High-level attention to detail and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

The following would be looked upon favourably but is not essential:

– Auto-CAD experience
– Knowledge and experience in the telecommunication industry

Senior Electrical Project Engineer ⁠— PLAN B SERVICES

Plan B Services is the leading provider of electrical engineering design and project management services to the Land Development Industry in Victoria. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to become part of our highly motivated and united design team.

This is a permanent role based in Notting Hill, Victoria.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to become part of our highly motivated and united design team.

You will be responsible for the preparation of electrical designs and specifications of the installation of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, including public lighting systems and AS3000 projects. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management with a particular emphasis on client experience. You will mentor and support junior team members and provide support to the design manager having a leading role within the team.

The successful candidate must have the ability to:

  • Understand, evaluate and apply relevant standards and codes
  • Work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Lead a team with initiative and by example
  • Be able to Quality Assess project outcomes, and refer to company engineers/management for final approvals; and
  • Be responsible for managing and designing specifications for installations working to set timeframes and communicating the progress on a regular basis.
  • Build and maintain strong client relations
  • Uphold and contribute to the Plan B Values and Behaviours at all times.

You will possess the following skills & experience:

  • A relevant Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Adaptability/flexibility
  • AutoCAD experience (preferable)
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Highest level of attention to documentation detail
  • Possess and maintain a Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Previous experience in the Electrical Distribution industry is required
